I am a clinical psychologist specializing in couples and individual therapy. My therapeutic style is client-centered, supportive, and solution-focused. With couples, I work toward improving communication to bring resolution to conflict, with approaches informed by the Gottman Method. With individuals, I usually begin with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and transition into insight-oriented therapy to help people understand patterns of thinking and behavior. Depending on presenting issues, I may use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches. My areas of expertise include generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, stress, adjustment, and depression. I also have advanced training and expertise in health psychology, including the psychological aspects of neurological diseases, diabetes, obesity, and other chronic health conditions. I'm an ally to people with marginalized identities, such as the LGBTQ+ community, and an advocate for racial justice. Insurance information: While I am in-network with the below insurances, other insurances can usually be used if you have out-of-network (OON) benefits, often at 50-80% of my fee. Further, couples therapy (CPT code Z63.0) is generally not reimbursable by insurance whether in-network or not, and as a result couples therapy is fee-for-service. I encourage calling the phone number on the back of your insurance card to learn about your possible OON benefits (you can ask for how much is CPT code 90837 reimbursed).
